Horseback Riding
This is one of the best options to explore the surrounding areas of Drake Bay, the trail runs along the pristine beach for a few miles, following another trip around the community of El Progreso. The view is beautiful with many river crossings along the way, farming areas and livestock.
On the way you make two stops: one at the beach where the volcanic rocks are covered by the primary forest and (depending on the tide) your guide will take you to see a natural cave to look for bats. The second stop will be at a local family house to have a snack. It is also optional to swim in one of the river crossings, if time permits.
