We offer this tour right in one of the most biologically diverse ocean ecosystems in the world. The ocean water has a warm top layer with a cold low-oxygen layer below that combines a healthy marine habitat for a variety of creatures like whales, dolphins, tuna, marlin, manta rays, sea turtles, and more. We are very lucky to host the migratory humpback whales every year, and the best season to watch them is when they migrate from the Southern hemisphere to breed and give birth from August to November. During the off season, you will still have the opportunity to see dolphins, marlins, sailfish, turtles, sea birds and much more.
All of the area between Uvita, Drake Bay, Corcovado and around Cano Island is a marine sanctuary. Your naturalist guide has already studied about cetaceans to explain about the behavior of these amazing and intelligent creatures. |
