Canoeing Tour

Drake River is is a small bay on the north side of the Osa Peninsula on the coast of southwestern Costa Rica. Named after the pirate, Sir Francis Drake, this bay is believed to be a port used by Drake in the 16th century and the location of one of the British pirate's hidden treasures. Today, Drake River is a largely pristine low-land tropical rainforest with an abundance of wildlife and beautiful views. On this tour we are on the lookout for birds, lizards, monkeys, snakes, and the fierce crocodile as we quietly paddle along the river.

Tour Options

We offer four tour schedules during the day, afternoon and evening that goes for 2 1/2 hours. Please see options below:​

5:30am

Watch sunrise, birdwatching

3:00pm

Search for wildlife from the canoe before dark

4:30pm

Watch sunset and look for crocodiles

6:00pm

Search for crocodiles and snakes.
